Sabangan is an Ilocano word loosely translated; where the river meets the sea.

Set amidst Sigayan Bay and the Verde Island Passage, Sabangan runs along the renowned white sand beach of Laiya, San Juan Batangas. With views of Mt. Daguldol and a landscaped filled with lush foliage, the 5,500 square meter resort offers guests a sanctuary enveloped in nature and rich in the comforts of home.

The resort opened to the public in April 2004 with only 3 bungalows. Today, the resort has a total of 6 units of the one-bedroom bungalow, 4 units of the two-bedroom bungalow and 4 units of the loft type cottage, a swimming pool, beachfront parasols, a gazebo with bar, a dining pavilion, mini convenience store, free parking for guests and WIFI. The current lying capacity is 100 persons, up to a maximum of 120 persons. All accommodations are used for overnight stay from 2:00 pm to 12 noon the following day. Each reservation comes with a welcome drink, complimentary am and pm snacks, Dinner and Breakfast for the Sleeping Capacity of guests staying in each cottage. We also offer complimentary foot or back massage for a specified number of guests and kayaks can be used for free.

Since then, the resort has grown in popularity and is a favorite destination of families, nature lovers and adventure seekers from Manila and neighboring provinces. Travel time from Manila to Sabangan Beach Resort is now only two and a half (2.5) hours via the newly opened tollway linking the SLEX to the STAR tollway.
